 The
new versatile Bron All-Weather DW 800 in destine to be the
next standard in HMI lighting for ENG, EFP and film production
applications. It can easily be configured as an open face,
Par, or as a bare lamp for use with soft boxes and lanterns.
These accessories easily bayonet on to the lampbase without
tools. The new All-Weather EWB 400-575-800 ballast is used
to supply power to the DW 800. This ballast will also power
the Bron DWO 400 for built in redundancy in your lighting
system by automatically reading which fixture is plugged in.
The Bron DW 800 All-Weather Open Face
fixture has a wide smooth focus range and excellent durability
even in extreme weather conditions. The DW 800 uses the dimmable
All-Weather EWB 400-575-800 electronic ballast to supply its
power. The EWB 400-575-800 is stabilized for flicker-free
recording regardless of the frame rate, shutter speed or mains
supply frequency. It has automatic input voltage selection
of 90-265 VAC. The system draws a maximum 8.9 volts @ 110VAC.
This means you can run two Bron 800's off of one 20 amp household
circuit. You could also run one Bron 800 and one Bron 400
on a 15 amp generator.
The Bron HMI DW 800 lamp base features rugged design, compact
dimensions and maximum reliability and safety. The lamp base
is fitted with a single-ended highly efficient HMI/MSR bulb
and offers hot restrike capability. The bulb is placed along
the reflector axis and creates a homogeneous, round illumination.
Focusing can be adjusted in the range of 1:4.5 by means of
a handy rotary knob. The lamp includes a handle for easy positioning.
The light output can be dimmed by 40%.
The DW 800 rivals the light output of many 1200 watt HMI
fixtures. With it's sturdy construction and reliable electronic
circuitry, the DW 800 HMI is ideal for flicker-free, noiseless
illumination of film and video productions.
All-weather and drip-proof...
When designing the lamp base and ballast, special emphasis
was put on an efficient protection against dust and drip water.
All openings are protected or sealed. The operating elements
are equipped with a waterproof protective cap. The trigger
unit is waterproof up to the bulb socket, allowing cold and
hot triggering even in a humid environment. These design elements
make the Bron DW 800 HMI easy to use for outdoor assignments.
Bron Kobold DW Openface and PAR lamp heads are rated IP54
and EWB ballasts are rated IP43. These ratings are based on
European Standard EN 60529. Simply said, the equipment has
demonstrated protective capability with regard to dust, foreign
objects, and water intrusion.
Easy to transport...
The lamp base housing is made from sturdy aluminum alloy
and steel. Despite the rugged design, and the various measures
to make the equipment all weather-proof, their weight and
size are comparatively small.
